Welcome to the Recreation Department in Rocky River—where we strive to be Cleveland’s Healthiest suburb! The Recreation Department is comprised of a variety of facilities and countless programs with a goal to serve each and every one of our residents. Memberships are available at the Don Umerley Civic Center allowing use of a 12 lap indoor track, two full sized basketball courts, fitness center, group exercise studios, indoor playground, on-site babysitting, aquatic center and much more! Hamilton Ice Arena is a year-round facility that hosts a variety of ice season programs throughout the winter and serves as an indoor sports complex in the warmer months. The Outdoor Municipal Pool boasts two large slides, a family slide and a variety of splash features all summer long. Recreation in Rocky River spans the entire city with playgrounds, green space and fields throughout our eight city parks.

Hours of Operation

Monday-Thursday: 5:30am-9:00pm
Friday: 5:30am-8:00pm
Saturday: 7:00am-4:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am-4:00pm
Indoor Pool closes at 7:30pm Monday-Friday. Indoor pool closes at 3:00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Adult Skate: 12:00pm-2:30pm, Tuesdays/Thursdays CANCELLED September 17th, 19th, 24th, 26th for rink ceiling project.
Parent/Tot Skate: 12:00pm-2:00pm, Wednesdays CANCELLED September 18th & 25th for rink ceiling project.
After school skate: 3:45pm-5:15pm, Fridays (beginning September 20th)
Friday Night Skate: 8:00pm-9:30pm (beginning November 1st)
Open Skate: 2:00pm-4:00pm, Saturdays & Sundays (beginning September 21st)
